Spearmint originated in Europe but when it was introduced in America, it quickly became one of the most popular flavorings for chewing gum and candy. Spearmint tea is also a favorite herbal tea because it is both refreshing and flavorful. The essential oil I obtained by steam distillation of the spearmint leaves producing the familiar, minty aroma that is well liked by all.

Spearmint is gentler in its action than its cousin, Peppermint. It's deodorant properties provide an extra benefit. Spearmint is also refreshing and energizing and can revitalize both mind and body.
