OSPREY

Welcome to our selection of Osprey photos.  The Osprey is a bird of rapture that mainly dines on fish.  They mate for life (or until one dies) and will return to their same nest year after year.  Most of these osprey pictures are of the  family of Osprey's that live in our yard.  Charlie and Charlene came to us in fall of 2004 and raised several young including a pair of twins.  In spring of 2008 Charlene retired, destroying the nest before she left.  After much courting the following fall Charlie picked a young female we named Charlotte. They have raised one chick so far but we hope for more this year.  We hope you enjoy the pictures and send this page to all your friends.  Pictures may be purchased to matte and frame.
