Function
Immune Activator is an immune system
activator specially formulated to stimulate a strong immune response
throughout the body as well as specifically in the respiratory system. In
addition to the immune-stimulating action that the three echinaceas,
goldenseal, and Oregon grape root give this formula, the combination of the
other herbs in Immune Activator also support the liver/gallbladder and the
lymphatic system, important lines of immune defense.
The echinacea species are native to the
American continent. Echinacea was valued by the Native American people, much
like ginseng has been by the Chinese, and were used more than any other
plant for health needs. Early American settlers found the native people
chewing the root to relieve respiratory conditions.
Each of the three echinacea species has a
different immune stimulating action. Polysaccharides in these echinaceas are
immune stimulating and activate leukocytes, T-cells, and macrophages, immune
system attack cells. Echinacea also increases interferon production, which
is part of the immune system’s protection activity.
Goldenseal, another very well known immune
stimulating herb, and echinacea taken together increase the benefits of
both.
This versatile liquid herbal formula may be
taken in small, frequent amounts when needed, and the amount used can be
adjusted up or down, according to the need, size and age of the person
taking it. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1/3–1/2 teaspoon (2–3 droppers full) 3 to
4 times a day during immune challenge, or as needed.
CONTAINS: Echinacea purpurea, echinacea
palida, Oregon grape root, echinacea angustifolia, goldenseal root,
astragalus root, lomatium root, usnea, mB™ liquid trace minerals, a
special Cedar Bear Naturales™ aromaceutical blend, and a proprietary New
Sun herbal catalytic flavoring, in a glycerin/purified water TincTract®
base.
NOTE: This formula is primarily a Direct Aid
and is not meant to be taken for extended continuous periods of time, over
10 days, at a time. Because of its highly immune stimulating action, those
with overly sensitive autoimmune conditions should use Auto-Immune along
with antioxidants instead.
MORE ABOUT THE HERBS IN THIS FORMULA:
• Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea), commonly known as Black Simpson, because
of European studies, has recently become more recognized for its effective
immune stimulating properties.
• Echinacea (Echinacea pallida), commonly known as Prairie coneflower, is
the least well known and gentlest of the echinacea species. Its action
enhances those of the other two echinaceas in this formula
• Oregon Grape Root (Berberis aquifolium) supports immune function, with
effective antiseptic properties. It has a mild blood and liver cleansing
action and is similar to goldenseal, only milder, has a more general action
in the body, and works to enhance the actions of the other herbs in this
formula.
• Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia), commonly known as Purple coneflower,
is the most well known echinacea for its action as an immune system
stimulant that increases certain white blood cell activity.
• Goldenseal Root (Hydrastis canadensis) is native to North America and
was used by Native Americans for respiratory, digestive and urinary
conditions. It contains hydrastine and berberine, known to have widespread
antiseptic benefits.
• Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus) is an adaptogenic tonic herb
that originated in China that strengthens the body’s resistance and
increases natural interferon in the body.
• Lomatium Root (Lomatium dissectum) is native to western North America,
and was used successfully by western tribes to protect against illness and
to reduce respiratory problems. It gained notoriety in the early 1900’s
when it was the herb used that protected certain tribes from the devastating
flu epidemics that swept the country.
• Usnea (Usnea barbata) this tree growing lichen that grows in Europe and
North America, commonly called tree man’s beard, is known for its
antibacterial and cleansing action. It is especially beneficial for the
respiratory and urinary systems and also helps soothe throats and reduce
coughs.
